Are veterans cared for medically, mentally, and financially? According to Steve Buyer, member of the House of Representatives from Indiana's fourth district, "Because we all believe and understand in the fabric of the common bond the reason we call ourselves Americans is to care about the men and women who wear the uniform; and when they take off the uniform, we take care of them when they are veterans.” After men or women finish their service to our country and take off their uniform, they still hold the title of Veteran. They are the brave ones who fought and served for America. Caring for America's veterans is a crucial part of giving back to those who risked their lives for our country. Veterans must be cared for medically, mentally and financially, as promised by President Obama. “It's a commitment that begins with enlistment and must never end. But we know that for too long we have failed to meet that commitment. Too many wounded warriors go without the care they need. Too many veterans don't receive the support that they have earned. Too many who once wore our nation's uniform now sleep on our nation's streets.” As men and women serve this country, we often forget the importance of their sacrifices and how we can reciprocate them students, 80% of the thirty students interviewed know someone who is or was a veteran, but only 57% of these veterans receive help.
