Introduction: There is a lot of debate and discussion about the explicit/implicit internal customer as an organizational resource. As Buchanan and Huczynski (2010) argue, “the organization's most critical resources are knowledge, skills, and abilities with respect to materials and equipment” (p. 138). To meet/exceed employer expectations and organizational goals and objectives, it is necessary for employees to comprehensively contemplate self-awareness and continuous personal development to improve KSAO and undermine limitations that can only be achieved through self-awareness and ongoing personal development. Furthermore, since the external environment is fast moving and unpredictable; therefore, the organization must respond effectively to compete and survive, which could be driven by employee self-awareness and continuous self-development that would enable the firm to constantly learn and adapt (Senge, 1990; Burgoyne, 1995).1.1 Self-Awareness and Continuous Self-Development: Self-awareness and continuous self-development is a continuous learning process. Mullins (2013, p.196) stated that self-awareness means learning about ourselves such as our own abilities, skills, knowledge, norms, behaviors and attitudes, while continuous self-development refers to learning what we need to do to improve it more and how to achieve and maintain the required behavior (role behavior). Self-awareness Recognize and articulate our values and principles, understanding how these may differ from those of other individuals and groups Identify our strengths and limitations, the impact of our behavior on others, and the effect of stress on our behavior Identify our emotions and our prejudices and understand how these can influence our judgment and our behavior Self-development Self-development...... middle of paper ...... complex situation or situation in which conflicts, communication gaps, revelation of unpleasant facts appear about others or ourselves that could be overcome with the help of effective self-awareness and continuous personal development.1.6 CONCLUSION: To recap, for example: Apple, BMW and other successful companies launch a new product every year due to the continuous changes and vicissitudes of the external environment. The organization enjoys success due to its successful manager who organizes, plans and develops the strategy on which the entire organization runs. Learning is more complex than the stimulus (Tolman, 1932). That's why learning is a never-ending process. Therefore, to be a successful manager it is necessary to continually learn to possess adaptability, innovation, creativity, flexibility, etc. to deal with sudden and uncertain changes in the external environment..
