Topic > The Terrible Consequences of Teaching Hate - 1162

HATE Is hate just a word, just a phrase, or is it something more? Did you know that every day at least eight blacks, three whites, three Jews and one Latino become victims of hate crimes? Most of these crimes are committed by people between the ages of 15 and 24. There is a “time to love and a time to hate,” as the book of Ecclesiastes says in the Bible. We have time to hate a circumstance, but not as much as today. We need more love in the world to eliminate all the hate we have. Hate is just a word. There are so many causes and effects, reasons why we hate, things we need to do to make the world a better place, how many accidents happen and the root of hate. Some causes are these Ku Klux Klan groups, the White Aryan Resistance (WAR) and other neo-Nazis to teach violence towards religious, sexual and other prejudices. These groups recognize that they raise many questions. Former WAR youth leader Greg Withrow said, “before I learned to hate, I learned to fear.” They are taught to believe that people with different prejudices are a threat to their way of life and that they have only one choice: react with violence. Many teenagers like to know the opinions of their peers. Many teens who have gotten involved in and left white supremacist groups say they joined because their friends did or because they wanted to fit in somewhere. Family can strongly influence attitudes towards other people. Many adolescents are exposed to family prejudices in a daily routine. those attitudes that come from important role models will influence how they see others. Mass media plays an important role in popularizing the attitude of young people...... middle of paper ......ms can cause a feeling of mastery and no hatred remains. It is when fear is immediately blamed and the desire to defend oneself from criticism or revenge that turns it into hatred, because the root of control to correct the challenge is outside the person, not inside. If you blame someone for something, you are not responsible; if you are not responsible, you have no power to correct the injustice. Hate is fear and helplessness achieved in the pursuit of injustice. Bottom line, this hate is the worst thing you can put someone through. It ruins people's lives, breaks down their confidence and makes people no longer want to live. So next time you think you hate someone, think again, you really hate them. Or you're jealous, you fear them, and/or you just do it because. I hate, that's a really stupid thing to do, so don't do it.
