Mass media includes the Internet, radio, television, mobile devices, and other communication technologies. The existence and power of media influences are strongly recognized as a significant part of the ecology of young generations. Media has become an inseparable part of teenagers' lives. Nearly every teenager growing up in the United States is exposed to several encounters with the mass media every day. Considering current influences, the media plays an important role in forming opinions and dictating the actions of youth culture. Mass media has enormously influenced people's lifestyle, living patterns and socialization. Although many people in today's society can be affected both negatively and positively, teenagers are more likely to be influenced by the media and, therefore, receive the greatest impact. We may not often talk about the positive influences of the media, but positive effects exist. However, the negative influences of the media are more visible due to the consistency with which they process their negativity in people's minds. Some of the negative impacts of mass media on young generations include the increase in aggressive behavior in adolescents. Another aspect is youth-targeted advertisements that portray ideal body images towards female demographics, and the celebrity hype that drives teenagers to demand expensive materials is also another downside. Many media increase aggressive tendencies in adolescents, whether through television, video games, or movies. One influence that causes negativity is the excessive amount of violence brought by the media.
