It can be a novel, a short story or a drama and can be classified according to whether it is fiction or non-fiction and whether it is prose or poetry. “Les Fourberies de Scapin” was one of my literary experiences in my childhood. It is a comedy written by Molière and consists of three prose acts. It was first staged in 1671. Its main character is called Scapin. It's complicated. From his behavior and his words it is clear to us that he is courageous and intelligent. I read Moliere's novel when I was in eighth grade in a class of 13 students. I don't remember my teacher's name, but I remember her last name which was “Naitlho”. She was an amazing teacher. We read a certain number of chapters almost every two weeks and answered questions about them in our French book. Most of the time I read the chapters on Sunday evenings. I hated something about betrayal. The next day, before starting the few-minute lesson, some classmates asked to have the answers without making any effort. I still remember that I once suffered from insomnia because I was so stressed with so many questions to answer about the novel. From an adult's perspective, history has taught me that a certain group of people are so complicated. These people are ready to do anything to satisfy themselves and have things that others don't have. From a child's perspective, it was fun and somewhat difficult because it seemed like a long time at the time. As I think back to p...... middle of paper ......rgante, Octave's father, known for being miserly. He also lied to Géronte, who is Léandre's father, telling him that if he does not give five hundred crowns, his son will be taken to Algiers. To conclude, I learned from my childhood novel that there are some people who are willing to do anything to feed their greed. Their primary concerns are self-interest and self-preservation. I'm like a fox. They only seek their own advantage and are deceptive. But at the same time, they can help others if they ask them to. This is what Scapin did. In this story we can learn how the dialogues and the comic are conducted. Works Cited Kate Chopin. “The Story of an Hour.” East of the Web.
