Religion is a peculiar subject that will never cease to exist as it is an important part of the lives of a large number of people. When we talk about religion, many automatically think of beliefs, traditions, practices, prayers, etc.; However, there are some situations in which a type of religion can be seen as a philosophical way of life. Taoism is an intriguing religion as it can be divided into philosophical Taoism or religious Taoism, depending on a particular person's beliefs. This specific religion can be better understood by examining important concepts that tend to follow Taoism everywhere. Taoism is a particularly interesting religion, as it can be difficult to trace how it began. There is speculation about where it all began, but again these are mostly speculations that are difficult to prove. But it can be said that Taoism developed slowly over time amid the growth of various other religions and ancient Chinese traditions. Essentially Taoism is an Eastern religion that originated in China. There are multiple accounts that the man knew, as Lao Tzu was one of the first and most important Taoists in the history of Taoism. Many people would even refer to him as the founder of this particular religion, but again this is a popular belief. Lao Tzu, whose translated name could also mean "old master", was born in Ch'u. As he grew up, he decided to leave, but during the process of migrating to another area, he is said to have met a guardian. This guardian would not let him go until he wrote a book for him. This book was later called Tao Te Ching, which includes the terms Tao, known as the way, and Te, also referred to as individual power. The Tao Te Ching is… in the center of the card… eventually objects transform into each other and when they are equal, everything is in balance, like yin and yang. Taoism is an intriguing religion in that it can mean something to one person and then something completely different to another person. Essentially this particular religion is filled with a diverse group of people who appreciate life to the fullest. Taoism is different in that it does not focus on life after death but rather on life itself or the freedom of the mind, depending on which Taoism that person believes. Even if they do not believe or pray to a particular god, they are considered polytheists, so they believe in a large amount of gods, as well as ancestors and ghosts, which makes this religion slightly different from a large amount of other religions. In any case, Taoism began in China and slowly progressed to other parts of the world
