The overall objective of this research is to study what are the critical success factors needed to achieve the success of a small business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Small Business or small business - Medium-sized businesses (SMEs), in today's economic environment, face numerous major challenges on a daily basis. Balancing the efforts of SMEs to address these challenges can prove to be a daunting task unless a systematic approach is identified and followed. Recently, SMEs have started to move towards using business success which allows SMEs to learn how to continuously improve resource utilization to achieve better productivity and performance. Therefore, critical success factors are the quantifiable aspects of the fundamental requirements for short- and long-term business success. Critical success factors do not change frequently, however they may need to be reviewed and updated from time to time (Broux, et al., 1999). Success is the ultimate goal of every business activity (Chan, Lam, & Scott, 2002). To survive in competitive business environments, it is very important for SMEs to be successful in their businesses. The business environment is continually changing with the development of new business techniques and technologies (Koota, 2003). Therefore, SMEs need to adopt these applications and develop appropriate strategies to be more competitive in this environment and achieve success in their businesses. There are many definitions of success. In general, it is the degree to which goals and expectations are met.
