The franchisors therefore feel alienated and abandon their alliance, leaving the organization to take on the costs of a sold establishment. McDonald's is run neither by one man nor by an official board of directors. It is the coming together of several autonomous business people – franchisees, suppliers and directors – and united by a complex network of organizations and imagination. It is preferable for everyone to be included in different areas of the organization, but too many associations that start with one meeting and then the next could be detrimental to that group's ability to achieve their goals.
