Ethics is the branch of philosophy that deals with principles related to human behavior regarding the rightness and wrongness of specific conduct, and good and evil that influence and put an end to such actions ( Ditonary.com, 2011). In other words, ethics is the choice that people make regarding a decision they have to make. Without ethics guiding an individual's choice, moral preferences about what should or should not be done become irrelevant. Although ethical decisions are made every day, there are two different regions where these choices are made. Personal ethics is something everyone has, but one's actions decide whether the choices are the right ones or the wrong ones. Before World War II, society as a whole knew the difference between right and wrong, and the ethical choices made back then were what we considered child's play. This meant that society was controlled by a specific value system (Hulme, 2000) which we do not have in today's life world. In today's society, right and wrong are judged by how you are perceived, not by how you choose to think. Business ethics is the ability to make the right decision regarding how business is conducted. Trust is based on job expectations and consistency in behavior, so it may be helpful when someone says something and gets what they said. Therefore, an interesting practice of good business ethics is the importance that employees bring to their work environment (Chair, 2011). However, in today's business society, it is usually called the opposite because people are driven by greed. In essence, personal ethics influence business ethics in the sense that the cause produces the effect. Business Ethics Without employees, an empty job. University of Santa Chiara.
