Science and technology are the two tools that have helped the human race to control nature to a large extent. These are also the most rapidly changing areas and are highly interdependent on each other. New scientific discoveries lead to better and more efficient technology; while new inventions in technology help discover and study science more deeply and accurately. Healthcare is a profession that uses both of these tools to achieve the noblest cause possible: saving people's lives. Obviously, progress in existing technologies will change the way doctors diagnose, analyze and treat patients. Having better machines for ultrasound, MRI and PET scans will allow doctors to focus more on options for treating diseases rather than diagnosing them as accurately as possible. One of the interesting reasons why I chose medicine as a future profession is actually the fact that it changes every minute and I will always have something new to learn. Biology, technology, enthusiasm and community service are the perfect qualities possessed by a profession in health sciences that will give me the satisfaction of choosing the right person
