Vincent Vega is the protagonist of the first story. In the second storyline, Butch Coolidge is the protagonist and Jules Winnfield is the protagonist in the third. Each storyline targets a different series of incidents, but these connect and intersect in numerous ways. “The film begins with a dinner robbery staged by "Pumpkin" and "Honey Bunny", then picks up the stories of Vincent, Jules, Butch and many other important characters. Finally we return to the starting point, in the diner: Vincent and Jules, who stopped for a bite to eat, find themselves involved in the robbery” (Tarantino).
