Nowadays more and more children are victims of bullying. There are four main categories of bullying; verbal, social, physical and IT. Additionally, all types of bullying harm children in many ways, both physically and mentally. In many cases, bullying episodes are seen by other children but they do not involve them because they are afraid of being the next victim. Recent studies have shown that 25% of children between the fourth and sixth grades and 15% of Canadian children between the ages of eleven and sixteen have been victims of bullying. Many of the victims are afraid to talk about their bullying because they know that bad things could happen to them, so the only solution is for bystanders who are acting like cowards to take some action to stop the bullying. First of all, bystanders need to take action because bullying has many harmful consequences for the individual. Additionally, children become more depressed and anxious, and their feelings of sadness and loneliness increase when they withdraw from family and school activities.
