Implementing changeAccording to George & Tuite (2008), implementation is the most difficult step. Lewin (1951) calls this process “in motion” (Deegan, 2004). During this phase, new policies or innovations are included in the daily routine. This phase also includes behavioral changes on the part of organizational members where old behavior patterns are replaced by new ones (ref?). According to Maxfield (2009), structural changes are sometimes necessary to influence behavior; for example by creating a physical space where people can exchange ideas without being disturbed. During the implementation of a new curriculum by Maggi, Stergiopoulos & Sockalingam (2008), the teaching sessions were attended by leaders and their role was to observe whether the curriculum was being delivered as expected and to provide support in difficulties. Leaders met with teachers in advance to assist them with lesson planning.
