Essay Title: Polar Bears are in Danger Polar bears are one of countless species in danger of extinction. They were one of the first animals affected by global warming and their population is in sharp decline. Around 1980 the Arctic reached an area of 8 million square kilometers. In 2011, studies show that the Arctic has reduced its size to 4.5 million square kilometers. Will there be something like the Arctic in the future? Scientists predict that by 2040 only a fringe of ice will remain in northeastern Canada and northern Greenland. This is known as the last ice area. Since then, the issue has mainly taken place in Canada; Canada is home to more than half of the world's polar bear population. Other affected countries include the United States (Alaska), Greenland, Russia and Norway (the Svalbard archipelago). There are solutions to slow global warming, but if we don't all act together, there is no hope for the polar bears that inhabit the earth. CAUSES OF THE PROBLEMPolar bears are animals in danger of extinction due to pollution of the environment by humans. Human hobbies like hunting destroy polar bear populations. Some cultures consider polar bears to be a good source of food. But the main reason for the endangerment of polar bears is global warming. Global warming is destroying polar bear habitat. Global warming is caused by humans, but we are making no effort to solve it. Many human beings still don't even know what global warming is and should be aware of this problem. The main cause of global warming is man; we should resolve this concern. The ringed seal is the best food source for the polar bear. The reduction of ice is causing the seal population to decline and leading bears to starve. Reducing food supplies is the key to… middle of paper… if our environment changes, we will create a better environment for polar bears and for us. Conclusion Global warming, pollution and indirect human factors but the enormous impact of these effects destroys the animal population: in particular polar bears. Polar bears may become extinct in the future, but if we make an effort now, we can prevent it. Why destroy the environment and destroy an entire animal race for our normal human habitats. We are no different from criminals in prison and we are also murderers. Humans should prioritize global warming and implement ideas and plans to resolve the destruction waiting to befall polar bears. Since Canada is home to the majority of the population, we should step up and do something to encourage everyone to step up. No amount of money can replace an entire community of animals.
