However, I believe it was also very useful for me as a department head. I believe my IDP experience has helped me better understand what instructors deal with on a daily basis as they prepare and deliver classes. I believe the information I soaked in helped me better understand the instructors' needs and allowed me to be more supportive. I believe the knowledge I have gained has given me the ability to be more effective in equipping and mentoring new ones
