Topic > Poverty and inequality in developing countries

Poverty is a major problem in most societies around the world. Poverty is when people live with fewer resources than the average person, living in a decent home with a car and a family they love and care for, and poverty is not just about financial and physical issues, but includes emotional breakdowns, such as feeling hungry, frustrated, tired, and hopeless throughout the year. Also, some countries have a high economic status, but somehow still face poverty, that means countries that have no justice and have a dictatorial system called corruption. However, in some other countries people naturally live in a state of poverty such as Africa, Brazil and many others. Therefore, the discussion on the causes of poverty and inequality is vital, in three main aspects; education, lack of adequate social mobility and family behavior with the consequences of inequality and finally solutions to such inequality problems, based on three main articles. “Born Poor and Smart” by Angela Locke, “A Great Time to Be Alive?” by Matt Yglesias and “Middle Of The Class” by The Economist. First, there are many problems that can cause poverty and inequality, but education is the most essential one because it has control over the future of our society. In other words, if schools and universities are not on the government's list of interests, our children's future is at risk, and the risk of increased poverty is higher. Furthermore, inequality in education should also be in the government's interest and every child should have the opportunity to finish school. Because if a child is born into a lower class family the child's chances of graduating and being successful are lower than in middle and upper class families, because... middle of the paper... where most of the taxes. used in military forces. According to Yglesias, taxes are spent on Social Security and Medicare. Therefore, changing the purpose of taxes will give citizens a chance to become something or at least live like an average person with a nice house and a decent car, and maybe a family. In conclusion, poverty is still a major problem in our society. However, governments in some other countries are changing their funding and finding solutions for developed education, family behavior and lack of adequate social mobility. Therefore, the government has taken taxes as a first step solution and will find further solutions to inequality. Therefore, all classes can live equally, especially lower class families. Lastly, but importantly, all class families must work hard to achieve their goals of education and a better lifestyle for their children and for the sake of their future..
