In life people have to go through many circumstances to realize their needs and desires; challenges will always get in the way, but they are no reason to stop and stop dreaming. There are many obstacles when trying to resolve a difficulty, for example, speech or language disorders can make any circumstance even more difficult, something like stuttering can make people afraid of who they are and, furthermore, make them feel defeats in some cases. That's why people with this type of difficulty must continue to fight to prove to others that, despite any adversity, they are able to endure it and do great things. However, stuttering in everyday life may be affected by how the person and others react to the disorder. In the movie The King's Speech, stammering is one of the problems that the main character faces in achieving his goal of being the king of England, but this is not an impediment to stop him from achieving his goal. According to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, it begins in childhood and, in some cases, lasts a lifetime. It is said that stuttering can be developed from early traumatic experiences or genetically; however, the precise cause is unknown. In a New York Times article Ratner states that, “While communication disorders and speech delays can be predicted by a child's babbling or developmental trajectory, we have actually not been able to find indicators of stuttering before the first day it emerges. Everything seems fine and suddenly it doesn't seem fine anymore. This is why some psychologists in the last century proposed, erroneously, that stuttering was caused by early childhood trauma or poor parental care. .....make sure you speak quickly, and they will have a harder time saying what they want to say fluently. People should realize that people who stutter are just as normal as they are, other than having speech problems, they feel and act like everyone else. Speech and language disorders can cause tremendous emotional chaos that results in a lifetime of hardship; however people can learn to deal with it and will be able to achieve what they want in life if they are all treated equally. This will make them feel that no matter what is happening, there are many reasons why they should continue to strive to achieve their goal. The King's Speech helped raise awareness, and as David Seidler, winner of the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, said at the awards ceremony: “I accept this award on behalf of all stutterers in the world. We have a voice, we have been heard.”
