It can be seen that Blanche repeatedly wears extravagant white clothes or her red robe when she acts particularly seductive, so as to make people think that she is actually innocent and healthy. Blanche's white dress is imperfect, which is representative of the fact that Blanche is far from being pure and healthy, even though the dress is a symbol of purity. His world clings to misunderstandings and deceptions, as can be understood from his emptying his heart towards Stella in scene three, "tender people must be seductive and create a little temporary magic".
