Mission Statement"The best way to predict the future is to create it"- Peter Drucker. I firmly believe in this statement that taking action now can help you shape the life you want to live. I firmly believe that you can determine your own destiny if you create your own future. After carefully examining my interests, past education and ultimate ambition, I realized that a master's degree in Business and Information Systems will help me achieve my future career goal in Information Systems. My bias is more specifically towards Business Analytics and Data Science. I consider an MS program in USA as a crucial step towards achieving my career goal because not only is it the birthplace of my chosen field of study but also nurtured it for its full growth and development continuous. For my undergraduate studies, I opted for "Information Technology" at SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce. During my studies I understood the fundamentals of computer science through programming language and database courses. After my undergraduate education, the strong desire to understand the global business management process and industry needs drove me to pursue a postgraduate diploma in Management specializing in "International Business" from Pillai Institute of Management and Research . I have been equipped with subjects such as supply chain management and customer relationship management, shipping and logistics management, international trade operations and MIS for global organisations. At the end of the first year, a study abroad trip to China provided an international perspective on business through exposure to the different factors that companies face in their particular environment. Through the BIS program I wish to sharpen my skills and provide technology-based business solutions for global organizations in India to achieve their strategic objectives. The program at the New Jersey Institute of Technology is suited to my goals as it has an excellent and challenging curriculum coupled with industry exposure. I found faculty like Fadi Deek and Micheal Bieber and their research quite impressive. I believe that being associated with these faculties would give me a great opportunity to pursue my career in IS. I was also amazed by the Build Your Own Specialty option and the various research opportunities available at your university for this field. I look forward to joining as a graduate student in the Department of Information Systems.
