The Star Wars Trilogy always has one thing established: the Force. The Force is an unlimited power that is present in every living object. As exciting as it may seem, the idea of the Force has been created by many religions. The idea of the Force comes from different religions such as: Taoism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity. Taoism is related to the Force because the Force was seen as energy around everything. When Obi-Wan told Luke that he should abandon his sight and follow his instincts to protect the blaster. Luke used his instincts to follow the energy around him and was able to protect the blaster. This suggests that Taoism is in the Force because when Luke used his instincts he revealed concepts of Taoism called Wu Wei. Wu Wei is the concept of following the path instead of thinking. This idea is also in the Force when Luke relies on his instincts to shoot the Death Star instead of using its aiming mechanisms. Another example that reveals Taoism to be an idea of the Force is when Qui-Gon mentions that no accidents happen. When nothing is random, this suggests that everything that happens has a reason. This leads to Taoism where people should let nature take its course and follow it. The Force revealed Taoism when Luke was training with Yoda. Yoda had told Luke to do it or not. He said not to try. This reveals Taoism because instead of trying, Luke has to do it without thinking. The Force contains the concept of Wu Wei of Taoism. It is when people let go of their surroundings and that is when they will be able to feel other living energies. This is the concept that the Force got from Taoism. Not only is Taoism in the Force, but Hinduism is also used in the idea of the Force. Hinduism is... at the heart of the card... full of meaning. The Force not only provided much evidence for religion, but also provided the way to unite most religions into one. Religions came from different places and different times. Creating a concept from a few religions reveals how different religions may not be as different as implied. Overall, the Force revealed that many religions are not that different from each other.
