Each of these three changes requires three innovations, and each causes three main consequences. To implement the biochemical change, the use of hybrid seed selection that causes an increase in the yield of wheat, rice and corn is necessary. Fertilizers are used to increase yield and pesticides are used to control weeds and pests.
