To implement the change of the Green Revolution it must happen in three main areas: biochemical, mechanical and social. Each of these three changes requires three innovations, and each causes three main consequences. To implement the biochemical change, the use of hybrid seed selection that causes an increase in the yield of wheat, rice and corn is necessary. Fertilizers are used to increase yield and pesticides are used to control weeds and pests. Mechanical change involves irrigation using diesel pumps to control water supply, tractors and agricultural mechanization, increasing arable land and reducing the workforce, while improved roads and vehicles make transition quicker to the market.
