The influences evaluated will consist of the social, economic and political conditions of the country, which will prove to be the most significant when considering its effect on the happiness and living standards of the people residing in a country. Since money is strongly related to people's happiness and well-being due to its ability to provide, the economic part will be considered in the relationship between a country's wealth and standard of living. Furthermore, the social factor of a nation and the way its citizens live influence the standard of living of people in a country. These factors include multiple aspects of social well-being such as education, health, happiness, and crime rate which ultimately influence the standard of living of people residing in a particular region. Finally, government is crucial to the overall standard of living of people in a country due to its ability to create laws that citizens are expected to abide by... middle of paper... people with occupations tended to be more satisfied of life, while countries with fewer jobs to offer had lower life satisfaction. Finally, demonstrating the social and economic standards that influence citizens' living standards, political standards also played an important role. This was shown in Figure 3.1 with government influence and citizens' well-being. This was crucial because the standard deviations between countries were low and illustrated the fact that the correlation between political influence and citizens' well-being was strong. Finally, HDI and happiness showed a moderate correlation with each other. All in all, with the statistical arguments provided, it is proven that the three social, economic and political factors have a moderate effect on the standard of living of citizens of a country.
