For many important and well-known companies, people are the most important resource. The same goes for McDonald's. Employees who demonstrate positive attitudes and ability to engage strive to be number one in customer satisfaction. For this same reason, McDonald's restaurants focus on attracting and hiring the best while providing the best place to work. Unfortunately, McDonald's, as well as other companies, face staff turnover. Many of these reasons include changing careers, going back to school, leaving the area, and even new opportunities that are offered. While it can be very expensive to recruit and train staff to reduce turnover, McDonald's reinforces these steps and ensures they choose wisely and treat their staff well. McDonald's needs and seeks people who want to exceed and provide great customer satisfaction service. In order to ensure they select the best, they must identify the quality skills and/or behaviors that candidates must demonstrate to be hired and be part of the McDonald's family. Each position or job description has a description of the regular duties and/or responsibilities that McDonald's wants its employees to follow. McDonald' also has a specification in which it is possible to define the personal skills and competences of each candidate. Each restaurant is always responsible for filling available positions. When it comes to recruiting employees, McDonald's uses several techniques and many of the positions offered are advertised within McDonald's restaurants. McDonald's has one of the best recruiting histories of hiring quality staff who provide exceptional service to consumers. One of the methods used to recruit and be able to select is through... half of the paper... by Mariano to be able to select certain behavioral behaviors that correspond to a job position. Using the On Job Experience would also benefit Mariano, because it offers the opportunity to see how the candidate is able to interact efficiently with customers. This method allows Mariano to take additional action should he need to provide his new candidates with additional training in any area of customer service. Unfortunately, the development of screening tools in the selection process is not sufficiently appreciated in many companies. The main goal of the selection process is to hire the best candidate who fits the job duties and/or company culture. It is extremely important that companies make the right use of selection costs and develop them effectively. Only tools such as criteria and interview questions that contribute to the best hire should be part of the selection process.
