I can, I want and I must. These words were the key point of my learning. It helped me define my goals and achieve my career goals, which I strongly believe in materials science. The modern world is full of ballistic variations in gadgets and devices, where miniaturization is the ace of the cards. With the increase in technology, the demand for nanodevices has increased, and materials science and engineering have the lion's share of realizing it. This pushes me to think beyond boundaries with rationality along with adding creativity and innovation. The need to think outside the box is of paramount importance to meet today's growing demands. To achieve this goal, I want to continue my summer internship in Materials Science and be part of the research that will be at the forefront of such changes. I have always had an analytical and logical approach towards learning since childhood. Throughout my schooling, I not only focused on science and mathematics, but also homogenized my efforts across all subjects, achieving good results in all subjects. The cumulative effort of all this helped me crack AIEEE 2011, landing me in one of the premier institutes in the country, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India. The courses in my professional major (metallurgy and materials engineering) not only focused on metallurgy but also on Materials Science and Technology. Subjects like thermodynamics, phase transformation, fusion, physics of materials gave a better insight into the course. Till completion of my 4th semester I had taken two open choice (OE) fundamentals of Tissue Engineering and Nanomaterial Chemistry, just to get closer to nanomat...... half of the article...... the research interest of various faculties at National Tsing Hua University and found that it overlapped considerably with that of my own. The research work conducted at National Tsing Hua University on nanomaterials is quite diverse and exhaustive. The university is among the best in Asia and offers excellent research opportunities in materials science and engineering. I find the field of nanomaterials research fascinating and eminently compatible with my interests. The excellent nanomaterials research facilities at National Tsing Hua University, coupled with the skillful guidance of the faculty, would provide me with a valuable opportunity to complete my summer research internship studies. I am confident that I possess the necessary drive, intellectual competence and skills needed to succeed in your internship program and look forward to joining and contributing to the ongoing research.
