Topic > Health systems in Columbia, Finland and the United States...

According to the Director General of the National Institute of Public Health, Professor Pekka Puska, health is very important for everyone, individuals and citizens around the world, but we all have our own perception of health and cultural issues strongly influence health. In general we have good health, but the differences between nations are large. In developed countries people live longer, at the moment the life expectancy of a little girl will be over a hundred years. We also have good control of infectious diseases. But development will also bring problems: obesity, diabetes, alcohol problems, etc. As Pekka Puska said, we have a large amount of clinical and medical research, drugs and clinical research are important, but they only concern a small part of the population. In a developing country the healthcare lever is much lower. We need comprehensive research which should be based on concrete evidence. First we should identify the problem and find ways to solve it. This is exactly what I think too. We must focus on health behaviors, lifestyles, social and economic life. Social media, schools, advertising, tax control are important ways to influence our attitudes. In my opinion we shouldn't waste money on useless studies. This must be taken into consideration when planning and implementing health education. The world is becoming smaller and smaller, the chances of surviving alone are slim, we have to work globally. As Pekka Puska said: think globally, act locally. We have global leadership from the WHO and international health organizations such as Unicef, Save the Children and the Red Cross. Much has been achieved, but there are still many challenges. In the following learning task three countries: Colombia, Finland and the United Kingdom...... middle of the paper ...... in Finland and the United Kingdom we have only a few nationalities, mainly in Finland live Finns and in the United Kingdom they live English. The climate is different in these countries, although in Finland and England the climate varies a lot; which means that in the north and south of the countries the climate is very different. In the UK there are many healthcare experts, this is typical of developed countries. Even though we only have 5 million inhabitants in Finland, unrest, such as school shootings, has also increased in our country. As Pekka Puska said in his speech, the world will be smaller. In my opinion, patient safety comes from the fact that the healthcare system should be better controlled by coverage, drug use, equipment safety, safe clinical practice and safe care environment. I think this is a big problem in every country. This is why we need global work.
