Love is “the value that supports our noblest human values [it] activates, enhances and encourages the growth of our other fundamental values” (Tucker). In my church, my pastor always talks about how loving God will help you love people. When I say love, I don't just mean being in love or loving your mother. I'm talking about true loving admiration towards someone. If someone in your life gave up something they really cared about, that's true love. I want to be able to go out of my way to show love to another person. I want to value the people who sacrifice for me, whether it's their time or their money, because obviously I mean something to them. You never know if that thing they sacrificed was everything for them, but they still decided to choose you. During my senior year, I had this love for my math teacher. I didn't have a crush. I just thought he was a great person and teacher, and I always did my best and went above and beyond for him. On the last day of school I also stayed after school and helped him change classes for the new year. It took almost four hours and I got nothing in return, but I did it anyway and felt good afterward. But we shouldn't do this for all the close people we claim to have?
