It is the second largest religion in the world and is still growing. Every year more than 20,000 Americans convert to Islam. It clearly describes from the basics up to the very complex issues where other religions fail to justify themselves. Followers of other religions consider Islam to be a strict religion, but in reality it is not. It only prohibits people from evil acts such as lying, misbehaving, stealing and killing etc. Which cause danger to our lives. Killing anyone, even an animal, is strictly prohibited in Islam. The right to life is the most important thing in Islam. As a verse of the Holy Quran says: “Whoever kills a human being (without any reason such as) massacre or corruption on earth, it is as if he had killed all humanity. (5:32)” Another verse clarifies that: “Do not kill a soul which Allah has made sacred except through due process of law. (6:151)” On this topic, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) once said: “The greatest sins are associating anything with God and killing human beings.” (ʻAla Maudoodi, 1976) It teaches us to do good deeds, such as helping and respecting others, injustice and fraud, etc. There is a very long list of those that Islam prohibits and teaches us to do. Islam promotes fundamental human rights which include the right of neighbor, parents, children and every person and relationship in this world.
