The Woodson Foundation, which is a non-profit organization, after months of negotiations will develop a new agency with the National Coalition for Parental Involvement in education (NCPIE) that help improve the organization. The main improvements mainly concern teachers. The turnover rate of teaching staff is high and they are losing enthusiasm in helping students. Low student achievement and crime are also areas that need improvement in the school system. Identifying Problems The main problem the foundation is facing has to do with students. Low student achievement and high crime rates are the main reason schools do not function at the levels they should. When students do not reach the expected level, teachers must work harder in the classroom to increase students' academic performance. This is what brings us to the secondary problem, the high rate of teacher turnover. Teachers continually leave the classroom because they are motivated enough to deal with the school's declining scores and are burned out. As an individual, you can only deal with a certain limit and these teachers obviously cannot handle what is happening in the current situation of the school. Solutions The main solution that the Woodson Foundation wants to see happen is to integrate both organizations. The integration of these organizations will help create a positive learning environment for students. Students will have a support group available to ensure they get the best education possible. The integration of both organizations will give teachers the feeling that better options will be available to them too. The second solution is to create an after-school club...... made of paper ......and your own buildings, to see what is needed for the educational progress of the children. New computers, better chalk or blackboards, and the creation of an education plan tailored to their individual success may be necessary. The National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education is responsible for ensuring that parents understand why this integration is necessary. As the old saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child; it takes the school together with the parents to make these changes. Parents need to motivate their students to want to do better, to want to increase test scores and overall academic performance. Some parents don't realize that they are the main key to their children's success. Let their children develop their attitude and motivate them to do better. Schools can help communicate this need to parents
