Death, death in the family is common among us today due to unattended events and invitations. A death in the family can be a huge obstacle for one, especially for college students. This affects a college student's emotional state, educational state, and most importantly, motivational state. Look around you, college students are full of motivation and ambition. Receiving the news of a death in the family can change everything; change so much that a student might drop out. Big deal here, instructors, when a student expresses this to you, please give them time and space, but stay in touch to make sure the student stays on track.
