As a teacher, I believe there is a need to set the tone of the class and let them know that the teacher is in control of the class. The classroom atmosphere should be welcoming and eager to learn. The class I observed had a great atmosphere and most of the students were engaged. All students were attentive to the teacher, eager to learn, asking questions, and no student in the class was left out of the class discussion or learning that particular day. As a future educator, I believe my biggest challenge will be trying to become flexible with my schedule and changing lesson plans based on the organization. Furthermore, another challenge will be trying to motivate each student to learn and be active in the classroom. I think this will depend on the grade level I will be teaching at, whether it is a kindergarten or elementary level. I will address these challenges by becoming more organized and implementing projects where participation is graduated and required, so that every student learns and is not left out. This observation was very motivating and helped me better appreciate the teaching profession. They will help me decide what grade level I would like to teach as I do more
