Pi's journey to his faith (Starts with a general sentence) In Yann Martel's novel, "The Life of Pi", the main character, Pi faces some tough struggles while he manages himself to survive in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with his skills and knowledge at his disposal. His whole life is a journey. He learns various different skills which are usefully used in his survival. When Pi becomes an adult, he is left alone in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with a 450-pound Bengal tiger. Although losing everything causes him deep depression and makes him feel hopeless, he ultimately uses his skills he learned when he was young to endure through his painful faith. The skills Pi learned when in India were preparation for his faith. Pi spends much of his childhood in Pondicherry, India, learning and experimenting with various skills that ultimately help Pi survive.
