Stability is the key to healthy patients. Neonatal nurses are incredible nurses to have in your healthcare facility. All nurses can provide the same care and reliability in caring for their patients. Nurses are very consistent in the work they do. Being consistent is a great quality a nurse should have. Nurses gain stronger feelings and bonds with their patients than doctors. Nurses become increasingly attached to their patients because of the care they provide. Doctors have many patients they care for and prescribe medicine for, so trying to bond with patients is not as important a goal for them as it is for a nurse. Nurses develop their patients to feel welcome and can be trusted to provide the patient with appropriate care, giving the patient various opportunities to ask questions if necessary. Doctors spend less time with their patients than nurses. Neonatal nurses are able to build long-lasting, sometimes short-term relationships, but this is what a nurse primarily focuses on when doing their job to succeed in the patient's health. Neonatal nurses are very caring and understanding people. They are also reliable and trustworthy. They make sure that their patients are well taken care of regardless of the level the newborn may be placed in depending on their health. After birth, the newborn is placed in the first level which requires and consists only of basic care such as bathing, diaper changing and feeding, in the newborn room. Most first-time nurses are placed at level one because it doesn't require much care or supervision. If nurses wanted to advance their careers, they should further their education in that field. Level two is where premature babies are considered…middle of the paper…defined mostly as postpartum depression after they have had their babies and want nothing to do with them in the first few weeks of birth because of their mood swings. They think negatively about their child, lack of concern for themselves and the child. This depression is the most serious of all the forms of depression that mothers can have. Sometimes they can overcome depression and start taking care of their child. It takes a few weeks to get back to normal. Some have it longer than others and will end up giving their baby up for adoption and never set times to go see them and try to bond with them. Most of the time they end up regretting doing what they did and being wrong, so many try to fight to get their child back when it is too late and the adoptive parents have legal custody. They can experience a lot of withdrawals in that period of time.
