It seems like I wrote the movie synopsis for a little too long and really went into detail. He simply needed a brief overview of the film and then he could focus more on critiquing the work itself. Another thing Lemire could have improved on was that he needed a clearer thesis. You can tell she enjoyed the movie and believed the people who worked on it were what made it such a success, but it took the reader a while to come to that conclusion. Even if the thesis is not very clear, it was constructed well. The thesis is found in the last sentence of the second paragraph: “On paper alone, it seems awkward. But he is never condescending to his characters; “Silver Linings Playbook” is not sappy, nor is it whimsical and crass at the other extreme.” The thesis is placed right at the beginning so that the reader cannot understand where Lemire is in the film from the beginning. Lemire isn't afraid to share his opinion and wants people to know how great the movie is
