God seems to look beyond complaints and act according to His loving ability. In this single act of God the concept of grace is clearly highlighted. As a 21st century church, we often focus only on the New Testament to teach us about God's infinite grace. But the Old Testament clearly illustrates that God cares for his people and is willing to meet their needs. Another theological implication is that God does not meet the needs of the Israelites just to satisfy them with food, but so that they can gain revelation of who He is (v. 12). Following this revelation the Israelites will have to depend on God daily for supply. Peter Enns puts this benevolent provision of God
