As for the first step, I expect that my future life will be profoundly affected by how I meet the challenge presented by Gates' expectations of the younger generation. If I truly take to heart the message Gates has to offer me, I feel I could make a lasting contribution to society. Even though I don't know where I'm going with my life or where it will end, I believe that if you can work hard at something you believe in and love to do, everything will be fine. Throughout the speech Gates talks about doing something to address problems step by step and make the world a better place. Saying to start early and continue later is a message to see a problem, to start solving it no matter how small the effort you make, and to never stop developing it. If I could implement this into my life in the future, I believe it could give me an additional feeling of satisfaction, which I might lose if I ignore the problems around me and just focus on myself. Additionally, I feel that if I stay on this path and continue to follow it, I will gain a better work ethic. This could lead to an infinite number of opportunities and outcomes that I may never know about if I don't develop them. I expect that the second step will also have a profound impact on my life.
