The overall outcome of the warrior society and its characteristics, if not balanced, appear to be detrimental to the military family. The culture of military life and warrior society can lead to loneliness for all family members and a sense of isolation. The impact on the family is a tremendous amount of stress that makes it difficult for the family unit to function. The impact on children can cause behavioral problems, decline in academic performance, along with anxiety and depression. It is important for counselors to understand warrior society to better help military members and their families deal with military issues
