Topic > I love my city: Vienna - 684

If you could give your heart to one city, which one would you choose? The city of Vienna has captured my soul and my heart belongs to it. It's a serious looking city, full of right angles and old historic streets. It screams majestically and you can almost see the ghosts of bygone eras traveling through the air in beautiful robes. Vienna is worth a visit for its face and its culture is as old as Europe itself: from its cuisine, to street entertainment and architecture. TS Vienna is full of gastronomic contrasts. PS On one side of the street there is Vienna street food, on the other there are trendy restaurants. SS The sausage stands were really useful to me, whenever I was on a long walk and wanted something to eat while sightseeing. SS They usually serve real sausages like Käsekrainer, Bosna and Burenwurst with fillings like pickles, sauerkraut and caramelized onions. PS. There are so many gourmet and quality restaurants throughout Vienna that it is sometimes difficult to choose. SS I once went to a Viennese tavern, called Wirtshäuser or Beisln, where I had a simple, hearty meal, which included excellent crispy-skinned pork, sautéed sauerkraut, and a cold potato salad. SS I loved it! PS The other one I explored was the restaurant of the contradiction between quirky and fun. SS They served Goulash (similar to steak tartare), basically raw meat. SS Even though it was sophisticated and I felt like I had royal blood coursing through my veins, I ended up not eating it, but I paid full price. CS However, it was a great experience and I would love to go back and enjoy more edible food.TS Vienna is a city of wonderful music and artistic freedom. PS. Vienna's musical culture is not limited exclusively to expensive opera houses, amidst paper tunnels, between architecture and art, which for me highlight the history inherent in Vienna. SS Walking in its beautiful green parks, listening to Mozart, seeing the sculptures revealed to me the beauty and importance of art captured by the great minds of times long gone. CS. Vienna is truly a magnificent city that offers a noteworthy architectural feast! Vienna, Austria is a museum in and of itself. This is a city where I have breathed and absorbed old world history and culture simply by standing on one of its streets. Every time I flip through the “Images of Vienna” file, every cell in my body screams with joy! Vienna holds a special place in my heart as it combines our majestic past, breathtaking present and shining future. It is a city that is at the same time complicated, romantic, classy, elegant and with evident notes of royalty. I love you Vienna!
