My question “Are you sure” at the beginning of the debate showed my feeling of insecurity on the topic. My answer was “no”, social marketing is not a waste of time and money; aims to inform people to pursue social objectives; it is a tool that really works although many arguments support the claim. Social Marketing is a promising intervention approach, measured not in terms of time and money but by effectiveness. Effectiveness is the right measure of any campaign. When it comes to alcohol, tobacco and drugs, the time and money invested play no role. You can spend money to show examples of diseases and bad habits to people, but it will have no effect on them. I believe that understanding the problem and the correct approach leads to a positive influence, leads to a healthy life, a saved life
