It is a desperate shame, not because women are mediocre teachers but because, according to many, there is no innate reason why they are better teachers than men. There is simply no logic to this and it is a desperate shame for our children too, because they may lose a completely different perspective on the world. However, in the few classrooms of black male teachers, surveys and graduation rates show high success rates. In other words, there should be more techniques and programs that offer free scholarships to Black men who want to teach. If African American men were given money to become educators, surely more men would understand the severity of this problem and accept the money to fund education. As mentioned above, the problem is not simply having more black males in secondary schools; but have them actually teach and interact with ours
