The film The Story of Qui Ju describes the difficult search of an ordinary provincial woman, who sought justice in a small village in China. Even though she was pregnant, she overcame all the obstacles in her path with tenacity and stubbornness. He went from office to office with the desire to restore justice. However, she was repeatedly disappointed: officials were unable to meet her demands, even though all she wanted was a simple apology from the village head, who had severely beaten her husband, Qinglai. The compensation she was offered was monetary. However he didn't need money; he wanted an apology, but couldn't get one because the boss was so stubborn that he didn't want to apologize. No monetary compensation could recover her and her husband's lost dignity, only a simple apology – an explanation could do it. The leader, being a superior, did not act according to the philosophy of Confucius; his actions and behavior lived up to Confucian standards of benevolence and governance. All this caused a lot of problems for her and her family. This article will try to prove it by examining his behavior while carefully following the plot of the film. According to Confucian philosophy, the most important quality a human being must have is benevolence. Benevolence is a person's ability to treat others as they would like to be treated – not to impose on others what they do not want. A benevolent man should possess courage and respect towards others; should be courteous and effable. He is composed in speech and action; he is tolerant, patient and self-disciplined. He is not afraid of difficulties and challenges; tirelessly overcomes every... half of the paper... the rib was broken. When Qui Ju found out that the chief had been taken to prison, he wanted to avoid it, but it was too late. Justice, applied by the government, agitated her even more strongly. The only things he could do to enforce justice were monetary compensation and incarceration of the guilty party. Throughout the entire film it was shown that the leader's behavior was inconsistent with the philosophy of Confucius. It did not meet Confucian standards of benevolence and governance. He was not an exemplary person for others to emulate. He was short-tempered, undisciplined and arrogant. He treated others with disrespect and contempt. He was stubborn and stubborn. The only thing he cared about was reputation. That is why he has not conformed to Confucian standards that praise respect, tolerance and self-discipline.
