As a child born to an interracial couple, Molly also faced prejudice from some members of her own community during her early years, and was considered an isolated outcaste (Pilkington, 1996; Atkinson , 2002). All these experiences, combined with the ordeal of surviving an arduous journey along with the responsibility of ensuring the safety of her sisters, lead me to agree that Molly will present various emotional, psychological and behavioral symptoms such as increased attention, alertness, anxiety, nightmares vivid heart palpitations, intense emotional reactions, difficulty falling asleep, and trust issues. All of these symptoms are indicators to conclude that Molly will be diagnosed with post traumatic stress syndrome (Williams & Poijula, 2002). I also strongly suspect that she may have difficulty reconciling her identity as someone born to a mixed-race couple, leading to self-acceptance
