Topic > Analysis of the atheist perspective on religion.

In this essay I will demonstrate how religion has played a role in the lives of human beings and explain the reasoning behind the true nature of the creation of religion by a psychopath. During our short time on Earth, a very common thought and feeling that many people experience is, “What's out there? Why are we here? What created us?" etc. This natural human tendency to ask these questions leads some people to draw conclusions that may or may not exist. One belief I have held for years is the atheistic one. Christians, as well as many other moral institutions, relate to an atheist as someone who does not believe in God. Where this may be the case, I feel that this definition is lazy and unintellectual. Rather I tend to believe that atheism is the lack of belief in a given higher power In this regard, I will refer to a quote from Richard Dawkins: "I am an atheist compared to approximately 2700 Gods, you (a Christian) on the other hand are an atheist compared to approximately 2699 Gods. This is an essential and distinguishable difference between the two beliefs, or the lack thereof. What's interesting about what Dawkins was saying is that you could infer that by this definition, Christians are statistically just as atheists are. Now, once you explain that, you would start to consider the probability and odds that perhaps in fact the Christian God is the one true God versus the possibilities that perhaps another factor played into this belief. When you look at people's religious beliefs a pattern emerges. I tend to notice that many of the beliefs held by religious individuals are those held by my mother and father. Now, this could be a mere coincidence, or it could play a key role in the development of the (low-paid labor) card. Control of this money and the media also allows for the possibility of “electing” leaders of nations who would play to the interests of the entire circle of the elites' agenda. With all this control it's easy to see why it's difficult to grasp on the surface. However, this is only a very abbreviated summary of the control that elites possess. Now I will conclude with a quote that I believe fits this ideology perfectly. “Do I believe in conspiracies? No. Do I believe that powerful people would get together and plan certain outcomes? No. Do I believe that powerful interests would operate outside the law and perhaps even kill people? No. I believe that secret government agencies might feel the need to assassinate a person and cover it up. I believe that in America everything is open and clean and above war, and powerful people always play by the rules. -Giorgio Carlin
