Introduction: In the story I, Tituba, it is shown that Tituba has a quite different life and is portrayed as an almost completely different person than we read in any context we read or what I knew about the Salem witch trials. Tituba is typically shown as a dark witch of some kind who single-handedly ruined an entire community in Massachusetts. In the story, however, she is seen to have a much more real background and life than simply being a witch. Many ups and downs can be seen in her journey as a slave and often show the hardships she faced.
