While most of the episode was realistic, there were a couple of things that were exaggerated. Pedro's struggle with being forced to resign the presidency doesn't seem like a common problem for college freshmen. I assume that most students are able to keep their behavior under control enough to not be removed from positions or student clubs. I wouldn't say Brian's situation with his son was exaggerated, but it's not a challenge applicable to most college freshmen. I believe the top three challenges college freshmen face are time management, budgeting finances, and social skills. My university is very good at providing students with the resources needed to address these issues, but not all schools do. Some good resources to help solve these problems would be workshops to inform students about the best ways to manage time and money, as well as sponsoring events, such as welcome parties, sports games and clubs.
