Power is a quality, a tool, and a weapon used for a variety of reasons. It is in the form of a quality where it gives the possessor a sense of control. In the form of a weapon, power is possessed to produce a negative environment of pain and punishment. But, in the form of a tool, power can be used to achieve something more, something positive. Therefore, power creates a sense of superiority that can lead to consequences on both sides of the spectrum, for better or worse. As one of the many uses of power, it is clear and obvious that it is used with the aim of hurting or hurting. punish an individual or a group of beings. With this particular intention, it has been evident that the power has caused devastation in many. A clear example of such abuse of power is seen in Joy Kogawa's Obasan. After the terrible Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, a temporary stamp was etched on the faces of Japanese Canadians as a threat to the country. Based on strong prejudice, Japanese Canadians, especially in Western Canada, were sent to labor camps where they were deprived of many rights. From this event in the novel it is clear that injustice was served to the unworthy. The abuse of political power and making unjust decisions were evident in the Obasan of Kogawa. Another similar example of abuse of power is seen in Mistry's A Fine Balance. In the novel, the power of the police force and military power were used to deprive many poor people of their homes and ignorantly throw them into fruitless labor camps. Similarly, the use of political power is also dominant in North American governments and has been observed to impact the masses. For example, the US government's decision to introduce a bill, SOPA, was obviously s...... middle of paper... sometimes unimaginable. It is a part of everyday life that evidently plays one of the most important roles in today's society. The use of money can certainly have negative but also positive consequences. By using the power of money, countless lives stuck in poverty can be changed. Using the power of money, one can provide for oneself and a ray of hope in the life of another. Considering a positive use of power as money, I help an approximate number of fifteen physically disabled children under the care of the Salvation Army in India. Shocked by the state of their lives, I felt the need to use something to give the children hope. So, with the power of money, I started donating regularly in the hope that, if not a lot, at least they have the comfort of living well. So, with the use of money, power expresses many positive actions.
