Topic > The Writing of Writing and Writing - 1565

The goal when it comes to writing is to understand many things about the topic and also to know the task, the audience and the goals the writer wants to achieve. The task of writing can range from entertaining, to persuading, or even informing the audience for which the writer is composing. The next purpose of writing is the audience someone writes for and how that influences how something is written. Understand who the audience is, what they expect to know, and also be aware of what the audience already knows. Another purpose might be what a writer plans to achieve when writing and how he or she wants the audience to think or feel about the topic. The writer should also keep in mind how he or she wants the audience to feel and learn about the information provided and what they will take away from it. The audience greatly influences how someone writes and what they write about, the reason why it changes the way someone writes depends on the audience reading the material, if they already know the topic the writer doesn't have to go into detail. It is important to understand what the audience expects from the writer and what they expect to learn. When someone writes for a specific person the writing style will change depending on who receives the written material, their writing style could be formal or informal. You need to appeal to your audience and know how to effectively deliver the material, but first you need to know more about your audience. It is also important to identify the audience you are writing for, know the people and what their interests, demographics and political circumstances are, which will effectively help the writer know how to… middle of paper…. .. difficult because this also influences how you should present your written information, whether you would need media and whether you do it how it should be designed. One of my weaknesses when writing is that I often lack a hook or have an interesting sentence opening and closing, I feel like my sentences become too wordy and lack vivid detail. Sometimes organizing my written work can also be a weakness of mine, especially when there is an essay that asks you to compare and contrast. Thinking about how I want to start an introductory paragraph and thesis statement is where I have the most trouble and can sometimes be difficult for me. One of my strengths is that I often try to use a variety of different words so they aren't overused and I use strong vocabulary. Finally, another strength I have is that I can gather a lot of information and write on a large amount of topics.
