After conducting a significant amount of research into how Asians are portrayed in the public eye, it has been strikingly evident to me that portrayals of Asians are set within specific boundaries that lead people astray. Most Asians in the media are based on stereotypes that cause a negative impact not only on the race, but also on society. In Hollywood, the media is made up of Asians based on stereotypical characteristics. They are commonly found with small eyes, black hair, buns, bowl cuts, braids, etc. The Asian "image" used in almost every Hollywood production is what society undoubtedly classifies every Asian as, and those specific characteristics are used to distinguish Asians from the rest, as society recognizes them.
