It is their point of view on life and the world around them. That said, what is a Christian worldview? A Christian worldview is when someone sees the world with the Bible in mind and understanding that everything in it is entirely true. Say no to plagiarism. Get an Original Essay Knowing that this might be seen as a “cookie cutter” worldview, not all Christians will have exactly the same worldview. Each person can be assured that the Bible contains everything they need for their worldview, but they will also have other things that play a role in their worldview. Some factors that influence a worldview could be culture, how they were raised, and their daily environment. External and Internal Factors That Shape My Christian Worldview Even though I am a Christian and the Bible is what I base my worldview on, my family has helped shape the way I look at everyday life. I know I should do everything to please Christ and follow everything from the Bible, but with the people I found myself with in situations like school, work or even church. Being around people who don't follow what the Bible says, I've ventured to do some things that they do, and if you do something long enough, it will change the way you see it. Therefore, my participation in activities that would not necessarily be labeled “Christian,” and that are not necessarily part of a Christian worldview, has influenced how I see the world, or my worldview. When I think about culture, I think about today's pop culture. Pop culture isn't about what you listen to when it comes to music or how you dress, to me it's about how you see the world. Celebrities, for example, are the main trendsetters in this sense. Just like when it comes to people's worldview, modern citizens see what celebrities wear or do and tend to follow them. When it comes to worldviews, Christians tend to follow Jesus in what they do. They may want to spend their entire lives around Jesus. Having a worldview around Jesus helps you stay away from the temptations offered by pop culture. I believe that how we were raised can be another factor that can influence someone's Christian worldview. Some people might have been raised in a Christian home while others might not have been. If someone was raised in a Christian family, then they could see the world where everything they do is for God and God alone. Which is a good way to live, but it's different than someone who wasn't raised in a Christian family. type. If someone grew up in a non-Christian family, didn't have the best life, or had a tragedy, they might think that having a worldview based on the Bible and Jesus is crazy. They might hate Jesus, so their worldview would be based on something totally different than what the Bible says and live for Jesus. Even the people we surround ourselves with on a daily basis or our daily environment can influence our worldview. A good example of this is if you surrounded yourself with a group of people who didn't do very well, perhaps doing drugs or getting drunk every weekend, you would probably start doing the same things, not necessarily because you thought it was the right thing to do , just because you wanted to fit in. You may not want to tell them no.
