When the Prophet moved from Mecca to Medina, he did not simply change his living arrangements or move to another city, but when he touched base in Medina it began to change tremendously that city anyway. The first thing he did was establish a mosque to worship Allah. He hauled and hauled the stones for the building himself. This was the beginning of the establishment of many other mosques in Madinah. The Prophet established relationships with several groups living in Medina. There was a sizeable Jewish group and some other Arab tribes who had not recognized Islam. The Prophet arranged an arrangement for relations between these two groups. Furthermore, the Prophet asked his companions to help him dig holes to create an irrigation system in different parts of Medina. With more than 50 wells, the Prophet helped provide pure water to all. Overall, Hijrah shows that wherever Muslims go, they should do everything to create goodness in that place in order to build a happier and stronger world.
