When a person commits this type of suicide he is not well supported in a social group. They feel like an outsider or a loner and think that the only people they have in this world are themselves. They often feel helpless throughout their lives. (Durkheim 1987)2) Altruistic suicide: This type of suicide occurs when their social status is too high. People who commit this type of suicide are usually involved in a group and the only thing they care about is following the norms and goals of the group and not focusing on their own needs.
